Dear muses,

Here's the lowdown: Telling me stuff when I'm staring at a blank page, ready to beat my head against the laptop? Good idea. Telling me stuff when I'm attempting to fall asleep, in the shower, or in class trying to expound on the classics of Russian literature? Bad idea. You, my friends, are all perverse bastards.

Very grudging love,

Lily

*feels your pain*

I love mine, too. But they have no concept of timing. Or they don't think that we do.

Driving. I always get the best ideas while driving.

You know that's the way it's got to be. Good ideas come like crazy when you have no possible way to write them down. The worst thing is when you get out of class/the shower/etc. and GET to a blank computer screen and "...."

Man, hell with muses. :P

Now I want to get you a waterproof notebook for $_WINTER_HOLIDAY. ::hugs:: You do keep one for moments where writing in a regular notebook is possible, right?

I think your muses and my muses need to get together and do coffee or something. Then come back at a reasonable time.

Mine seem to think their history makes for a good bedtime story. Clearly, they need much therapeutic help.

*nods* I don't drive but car and bus rides tend to be good creativity jogs. But only ones when I have no notebook, or have carpal tunnel, or something.

That's precisely what keeps happening to me. I sit down to write and the muse goes "....nah, I changed my mind. I don't want to talk about it after all. So, how's them Red Sox?"

*cracks up at the idea of writing in the shower* Generally, I wind up getting ideas when lack of notebook isn't the problem. More like the need to be doing something else. There may even be a notebook there, taunting me.

Oooh, cooperative effort! I'm liking this plan~
