LARP Stuff

Intercon was awesome and exhausting. Writeups will come later. In the meantime, signups for Palindrome (kind of like Festival, only at RPI) open tonight at seven. The site is here:

My picks for each slot:

Friday night: League of Extraordinary Hogwarts Students. Come hell or high water. I've missed this game three times so far and won't again. This is pretty much why [livejournal.com profile] wired_lizard and I are dragging our butts to Troy.

Saturday morning: I'm playing in Costumed Henchmen at Festival, so What I Did On My Summer Vacation it is.

Saturday afternoon: I'm so glad they just added Sad Mary's Bar and Girl to the lineup, cause I've been wanting to play that, and I've already played the other two games.

Saturday night: High Rollers, definitely.

Sunday morning: Vanishing Point. (Also, [livejournal.com profile] natbudin, are you HIGH, running The Last Seder at eight in the morning?)

Re: Last Seder - I didn't really want to. It turned out to be the only viable slot for a 6-hour game. As I say in the description, I'm seriously considering making it 9 instead, which isn't much better, but is slightly better. It'd mean making it a 5-hour game instead, which is probably a little rushed but basically ok.

I can see how scheduling unusual lengths might be a problem. I'll find and hug you after game. And five hours should be ok, at least from my experience of the four-hour version, which was immersive and awesome.

I seriously want to start at 9, I don't think 6 is necessary based on my run

OK, I think that settles it. Will switch to 9.

I played LXHS at Brandeis for one of the festivals, and really enjoyed it. It comes highly recommended, IMHO. =)

I'm so, so excited about it! Who did you play, or is that a spoiler?

[identity profile] hazliya.livejournal.com 2011-03-08 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Not a spoiler at all! I played Edwina Weasley, and I feel as though I was cast particularly well.

I am totally stoked to play League of Extraordinary Hogwarts Students and Costumed Henchmen. Not sure about the other slots. I hope we get to play together!

Definitely a chance of that, in League!

I was Ada Lovelace and had a grand time

So much bouncing! I can't wait for signups to open.

I envy you all.

Awww. What part of the country are you from again? Or is it more a timing issue?

New York City. So there is arranging transit, then arranging someplace comfortable for the aged and infirm to stay, etc. Then home after. Adds up to a lot.

True, that. ...Which reminds me, I should sign up for crash space.
