I've done this before with Doctor Who and Torchwood episodes, albeit using a slightly different scale. Because I'm finding more episodes here I'm neutral/indifferent on, I've added an extra notch to said scale.

Scale
5 - Brilliant
4 - Good
3 - Neutral-positive
2 - Neutral-negative
1 - Godawful

1-2. Emissary - 4
3. Past Prologue - 4
4. A Man Alone - 4
5. Babel - 3
6. Captive Pursuit - 2
7. Q-less - 2
8. Dax - 3
9. The Passenger - 3
10. Move Along Home - 3

Emissary - 4
Past Prologue - 4
A Man Alone - 4
Move Along Home - 3
Dax - 3
Babel - 3
The Passenger - 3
Captive Pursuit - 2
Q-less - 2

You liked Babel? I thought you would hate that one. Weird. hehe

Nope. Unless there was an element that totally skipped my mind, I quite liked it. Why'd you think I wouldn't?

(I ask because it's entirely possible I *did* miss something, as I watched that one pretty late at night.)

It's kinda silly. The first time I saw it I thought it was terrible. I mean, they all start speaking gibberish! (I guess it could happen, but I mean just out of the blue? Well because of a virus?)

The second time I saw it I was like "it's cute." hehe

I've said before that I don't watch Doctor Who for the science. That goes double for Trek. Additionally, they technibabbled it enough to be believable. Aphasia's a real phenomenon - they just took it further.

To give an example of medicine so ridiculous I *wouldn't* buy it: Intravenous medication used externally as a miracle cure-all. That was the incident that prompted the DW science comment.

I'd also like to add that I'm much easier on any given series' beginning episodes. If the series manages to hook me at all, that is. Which DS9 did.

Yeah, that's about mine. I don't think I give my first 5 rating until "Duet," and it's a while after that until the next one but SO worth the wait.

Ooh, what are the other brilliant ones? Duet even I've heard about, for all that I try to keep myself spoiler-free.

Too frazzled to think right now. Somewhere I have my Trek Top 10s -- maybe it's on the sci-fi filter?

I am not, officially, here, because I have OMG homework to do but hey I'm on my lunch break so I deserve some time off -- but, OH. OH, YOU ARW WATCHING DS9. OH.

I wish I was not on forced hiatus because I adore DS9.

*hugs* Good luck with the homework. I'll be in the same situation, come September.

DS9 is love! Not every episode is Hugo-worthy, but the characters are wonderful and they really make the show.
