The Downside of Library DVDs

I've managed to get two episodes out of DS9 season one, before the disc all but ground to a halt. Disc two proved no better. *sigh* I've requested the library chain's other copy, so here's hoping that works better. At any rate, it'll be a while before I get my hands on it. The bloody thing has five holds already.

I've found yet another show Torchwood managed to rip off. "Countrycide," meet "The Benders." And ok, both episodes are 'homages' to other TV or film - most notably "Deliverance" or "The Hills Have Eyes" - but at least Supernatural did it with some style. (Not to mention giving a nod or two to acknowledge their 'borrowing'.)
