Hey, Boston locals! As some of you might already know, SLAW (the SFS Live Action Weekend) will be running at WPI the weekend of November 19. I know I'm excited, and I hope you are too.

wired_lizard and I will be re-running Sound of Drums, which premiered to rave reviews at Intercon J.

Additionally, we will be premiering a new game: Crotchetty Old Folks With Shotguns. This is a very serious game. Really. ...But only on Backwards Day. :) This is a one-hour game.
Here is the description, which will be up on the SLAW Site:
There's a neighborhood where the police don't go. Where gunshots sometimes ring in the streets. No, it ain't some run-down ghetto or nest of teenaged gangsters. It's a little winding suburban development, lawns and shrubbery, arbors and porches, with the soft meows echoing from that crazy cat lady down the street. But it's also a place full of old folks, and they're old folks that didn't go down easy. No nursing homes for them. Independent living for men and women old enough that they've paid all their dues and no longer give a damn about what other people think. And, one and all, they're armed and dangerous...
The All Crotchety Old Folks With Shotguns Game: does exactly what it says on the tin!
From what I heard, there are also going to be other awesome games featured, including some of my absolute favorites, so stay tuned! (Well, stay tuned to the folks running this thing, anyway...)

Man, I can tell I've been watching a lot of Top Chef. My announcer/here's what you'll be having for dinner voice is all over this post.
And seriously? That show is crack. On a biscuit.
