I bet you'll never guess who'll be the companion at the beginning of the fourth season!

That's gonna be an interesting contrast, once Martha comes back on. One I'm quite looking forward to.

OMFG. I never would have guessed that! I may be alone in saying this, but I really liked her! ^___^

*hops over to the Digital Spy forums to watch the bitching* All the men there wanted Sally Sparrow. *laughs*

You're not alone - I'm quite fond of Donna. ^_^

*laughs* I wouldn't have minded Sally, I liked her too, but she's an even less likely possibility. For my own sanity, I stay faaaaar away from the forums.

I would have preferred Tom Milligan over Sally Sparrow. Sally's storyline seemed to end, where Tom's just started.

Hehe, you should see all the people who suddenly want Martha back. I'm quite amused over them.

There was one smart person who suggested that maybe people should wait until they see episode 1 of season 4 before condemning her. ^_^

I hope they revisit Tom when Martha comes back. If not - fic bunny! Yes, he's another Who character I really liked. Liking so many characters; I know, I know, I'm a freak.

People - fans especially - are like that. Never happy unless they have something to bitch about, and always complaining how last season was better than this season, was better than the upcoming. "In my day, we had to walk three miles to watch Doctor Who, in black in white. And it was better, in those good old days."

Who's the smart, sane person? I kind of want to kiss them.

Not early - it just travelled in time a bit. :) Go Rusty!

Yaaaaaaaaaay! Looking forward even more to season four now. Why is it not a year later?

LOL. True. With this show, very true. I think this will work out rather well and having a different dynamic might be a good change for the show. Besides, we've not seen the last of Martha so I think some of the vitriol I'm seeing pop up is a bit premature.

Incredibly premature. As I said, some fans just aren't happy unless they're bitching about something. Seems particularly true of this fandom.

(I understand the need to bitch - look at my personal relationship with Torchwood - but bitching for it's own sake about everything... I dunno.)

I liked Donna, so I'm actually looking forward to this as well.

Yeah, Doctor Who fans are never so happy as they are when they're bitching about their show. ;) I do understand it but ... dude, best of both worlds here! Martha and Donna. It's kind of perfect. And Donna will be a good break for him. The dynamic itself will keep the show from getting old.

...though I'm waiting for the inevitable...but she's not pretty enough! wailing to start. *rolls eyes Because force of personality means NOTHING.

Whee! Just like Rusty to stump us like this - and in a good way!

Oh no. Oh Goddess no. Please tell me this is a joke.

Not likely, nope. I wouldn't panic till seeing her in action for real, though. These writers wouldn't create a long-term companion without long-term characterization plans.

... or some characterization plans.

I think the Donna-likers above are less in the minority than they think.
