Yoinked from [livejournal.com profile] rigel and [livejournal.com profile] phoenix_rinna.

Comment and I will:

1. Tell you why I friended you.

3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
7. In return, you must post this in your LJ.

1. We met over NaNoReaMo and turned out to have similar taste in books.

2. The Vorkosigan Saga

3. The way you're interested in so many different things, rather than boxing yourself in - which helps us have multiple fandoms and hobbies in common.

4. This is somewhat indirect, but reading your posts has convinced me to start watching BSG again.

5. What was your very first fandom?

6. The one with Roslin - My president gets the giggles - is utterly adorable.

1. This was right after the first run of Still Places, and I made an effort to track down all the shiny-awesome people I'd met in the course of the game. Yours was one of the first journals I'd managed to track down.

2. Loreena McKennitt, "Dante's Prayer"

3. You're one of the most amazingly talented people I know - and the fact that those talents are all distinct and different...wow.

4. Getting lost at Park Street, just spending all day walking in circles and geeking, and eventually ending up at Borders, as it started to rain.

5. What was your first impression of me? (In-character is ok.)

6. Anthy - starlight

My first fandom? Final Fantasy VII. :) And that is an induction by fire into the batshit, believe you me. *g*

Hee. I adore that series of icons. Especially her ones with Cain. "Dictator." "Roadkill."

1. I'd read "Archimage" and was completely blown away. Friending the author was my way of expressing a small fraction of my awe. *g*

2. Dorothy L. Sayers and her Lord Peter Wimsey books.

3. Your creativity and storytelling ability. When I read something you write, about five minutes in, the walls are gone and I'm living it. I can only imagine what playing in a game you GM must be like.

4. Realizing that you work in my hometown and being endlessly amused. Incidentally, when I'm in Boston, if you ever need a break from work monotony, just poke me.

5. How did you get into Takarazuka musicals?

6. Harry Potter - Trio - I think I directed a porno like this

1. I was the Anthy to your Utena in the second run of Still Places. You told me your username then, and it was easy to remember thanks to your tattoo.

2. Beautifully wrong Doctor Who music videos. It's your own fault. :p

3. You're a fantastic actress and a pleasure to play opposite.

4. I feel like I should apologize for bursting into tears all over you in, what, two games now? On the plus side, hey, intense gameplay is good.

Ok, that's two memories, but I can't resist mentioning the adorability of you sloshed and cooing over phone photos of your kitties - whom I still have to meet.

5. How did you get Meep and Squee?

6. The one you just used here is a strong contender. It cracks me up every time.

1. ...How long did I know in person before I realized you had an lj? This oversight had to be remedied, y'know.

2. Telepaths in many a fandom.

3. I love the way we share a brain on occasion. You're one of the best people to brainstorm with, since we don't even have to finish our own sentences.

4. Visiting you in NYC, during what must have been one of the most beautiful weekends in history. Lying around reading comics all morning, then exploring the city all day.

5. Where do yourself, ten years from now?

Hee. Thank you.

I got into Takarazuka first by reading the Robinson book on the subject, then by seeing the opening of some version of Rose of Versailles at Yuricon a few years ago, then randomly looking for clips on YouTube -- and finding them. The obsession just snowballed.

Sometimes we don't even need to start our own sentences.

Yes! We decided that the Hellfire Club met in one of the buildings on my street.

5. Where do yourself, ten years from now?

I will assume that you meant to ask where I see myself ten years from now.

On the good days, I see myself living in the Boston area, since I've grown quite attached to that city and the people in it. I see myself working in a library (quite possibly as the awesome school librarian whom the students actually like), or in a publishing house. I have no plans to stop writing, like, ever, so, as long as we're dreaming, I'll have been published myself by then. I also like to imagine that I'll have met that special someone (possibly several special someones), although it's not a priority.

On the bad days, I see myself living in my parents' basement and working at a fast food restaurant. Goofy rooster hats optional.

You were Utena! I think I was mostly crushing pretty badly ICly. :p Actually, my first OOC impression of you probably came from reading your LJ profile and laughing out loud at the first paragraph.

1. I wanted to friend you right after I met you at the Brandeis Festival of LARPs. Unfortunately, I didn't have your username written down, so it took me a while.

2. Pretty cloaks (which I tend to end up borrowing)

3. You're seriously one of the most adorable people I've ever met.

4. Talking and getting to know you as we walked across the Brandeis in the drizzling rain, on the way to the sketchy statue.

5. What made you choose to go to Brandeis?

6. The Delirium one.

Yo! =D

I haven't hung out with you much, so I realize this might be difficult. Feel free to skip questions, or answer questions stupidly. ;-) Really, I'm just a curious little girl, so I always respond to these things.

PS...we need to hang out more!! Especially if you're gonna transfer. =( But...I'm gonna be in Boston for FWT and we can hang out then, yay! =D

I'm living in Cambridge, and my hosts welcome visitors so long as I let them know. So let me know if you wanna come visit me and I'll email you my FWT address! (And of course I'll visit you as well...when you're not at work, or asleep or in the shower, that is...)

So, my first choice school was originally Middlebury, and second choice was Bates; my focus was originally going to be foreign language with a focus on Japanese. The two of those schools, however, were both hard to get into, so I thought I should apply to one or two more. I did a search on college board for schools that had Japanese classes, and Brandeis came up, and I really liked it. The thought of being near Boston appealed to me. So I applied all three of the aforementioned schools, as well as Northeastern University. Middlebury rejected me, and Bates wait-listed me, but Brandeis accepted me, as dfid Northeastern, and at that point it was a no-brainer, as Brandeis was the better school. However, I have since come to the realization that Brandeis is a much better fit for me, as a school, than Middlebury or Bates ever could have been. I'm pursuing dreams I didn't think I would (aka theater), really love being just outside the city, and have found some amazing people to hang out with, not to mention happened to end up going to one of, as far as I can tell, the geekiest schools in New England.

(and I write really unnecessarily long answers to questions)
