Torchwood: Sleeper

Torchwood continues to resoundingly not suck. I'd even go so far as to call "Sleeper" a bloody good episode. I continue to like Season 2 Gwen, and thank heavens for Ianto's dark, morbid sense of humor. As for the plot, it reminded me of Third Doctor-era Who, in a good way.

Meanwhile, the next episode looks to be a timefucky historical. I squee and look forward to it.

Oh, this was good stuff! Beth was a terrific one-shot character, the human interest (no pun intended) was affecting without being maudlin, and Gwen and Ianto have stopped taking themselves so bloody seriously and actually become a delight to watch. ("Hello! Anyone there? No, 'cause the phones aren't working!") I don't know who this writer is, but he definitely knows his Three H's.

I'm psyched for next week as well, especially as it seems like Tosh will actually get to Do Stuff. (Including but not limited to engaging in smoochies with a WWI soldier. Huzzah!)
