Duuude! Does that mean we'll get 5-6 Moffat episodes per season? Cause I could so live with that.

All in all, I still keep waiting for someone to say this announcement is a late April Fool's joke; it's almost too good to be true. I didn't mind Rusty, unlike a lot of the fandom, but it's freakin' Moffat we're talking about! Dude.

Man, I'm so happy to see this! (Husband had seen it earlier and thought I already knew!)

This does explain why they were willing to comply with his request regarding Jenny, though. (Apparently, she was originally supposed to die but Moffat requested that she live.)

But. If we get 5-6 Moffat episodes per season, how will the Hugo Award committee decide which one to give the Hugo for Short Form Science Fiction to?

Wowowow. Soooo excited about this. IMO the RTD episodes have generally been a cut below the rest of the series (cf the goofy premier of the otherwise-good current season*) and the Moffet eps have always been way above. I also trust Moffet to actually give us some meat to the Doctor's back-story instead of just milking "Look! Pathos!!" like the current series has been. In other words: W00t!

* though I haven't seen The Unicorn and the Wasp yet...

I'm just hoping Moffat can do finales. That's RTD's major booboo, but I've never seen Moffat do one at all, so I can't say.
