Next time I decide that I need to shop for new clothes, can somene just shoot me? It would be more humane, I swear.

I'm going out with a bunch of my friends next Saturday, so I thought: "Hey, I could use some clothes more interesting than the stuff that I wear to school." Ok, everything's fine so far. I get off my ass and take the train to Park Street. I go into a store, and, lo and behold, there are shirts! And not only are there shirts, but they are pretty, and the prices aren't that bad. There's only one catch - even the so-called 'Large' sized clothes would barely fit my cat!

Now, I'm no stick, but I don't consider myself to be particularly overweight, either. I'm 5'3, 130 lbs. Average; a bit on the busty size. And nothing remotely attractive as much as made an attempt at fitting me. Every store I went into, it was the same: All the cute clothes were made for anorexics, and everything in my size heavily resembled burlap sacks.

Am I just having a bad day, or is it like this all the time? If so, it's no wonder so many people develop eating disorders!

Conclusion: Next time I think I need something new to wear, I'll just throw on my pajamas, propriety be damned.

Don't feel so bad. >.< They're made for anorexic short people. I'm 5'10, 135 lbs and half of them tend to ride up on me. Although part of that has to do with the style. The only thing I have in my favor isn that I'm not so terribly busty. They don't make clothes for normal sized girls...if you have the body of an anorexic 13 year old however, do they have a deal for you.

*rolls eyes*

It was quite fun to mock, actually... once I got past loathing my body, losing my faith in humanity, and longing for a stiff drink/cirarette/some serious illegal drugs, that is. I'm fine now, but why does every shopping trip have to result in something I will be telling my therapist about, years down the line?

On a more practical note, can you think of any stores that would carry cool clothes in semi-reasonable sizes, prefferably under $100 (I know, I know, why don't I ask for gold and diamonds, while I'm at it...)
