So our president has declared another 'week'. Well, isn't that peachy keen! Originally, I though the nausea I was experiencing last night and this morning was a sign of the flu, but now I just believe that my body was trying to warn me of impending stupidity in the process of being committed.

Now, don't get me wrong, I think that using children in pornographic material is horrible. However, what Bush is doing is lumping everything together and condemning it out of hand. Sure, porn is what leads to crime, death and Debilitation of Community. Actually, I'm not sure why I'm even surprised at this, knowing Bush.

And the whole ending the speech with "In the year of our Lord...": Am I being overly sensitive if I find that offensive? It does seem to be a somewhat bad choice of words for the president of a country with Freedom Of Religion! *swears under breath*

I'd rant more, but my I'm sure that the point has already been made, elsewhere, so I am now going to go and see if I can keep my lunch down this time around.

Well damn, Bush has spoken. I shall never write another lemon again. I repent my evil ways, as a horrid, depraved person and give up any right to erotic anything just as I gave up my right to have a family when the last 'week' condemned it as unnatural. >.>

I find it unbelievably disturbing that the man overgeneralizes things like a five year old learning his first words.

The way he's been going lately, I have to wonder if Gee Dubya considers anything related to human sexuality normal or healthy. Given, American culture is one of We Don't Talk About That, Dear, but there's a line, you know?

And yeah, I agree with you on the poor word choice. I mean, I like God and all, but introduce him into the government and horrible things get done in his name.

Does Dubya think anything sex-related is healthy? Prolly not. Wasn't he also the one who offered government funding to public school Health Education... but only if the school solely promoted abstinence, as opposed to any other method of protection? I could be mixing things up, but I could swear I read this somewhere.

And now that the serious stuff is out of the way: It's so nice to meetcha! *hugs* *tries not to go into total fangirl mode, seeing as you're one of her favorite fanfic authors* *fails, and goes into total fangirl mode*

Ah, abstinence-only sex ed programs! I've heard (though my sources may be faulty) that in places where those pop up, you get an enormously high teen pregnancy rate.

(Also, some of us can't wait for marriage, since some of us can't legally get married, O So-Called President. Jackass. -_-;)
