I love Fred's ruthless streak, and I love that she doesn't just forgive the guy who sent her to a hell dimension. Hell, if it was me, I'd want to commit painful murder too. I also love the fact that she knows it's not the 'right' thing to do, but goes ahead. It would have been far too easy to write an episode where she blows up, gets talked down, and goes back to being nice. But in real life, there's no going back like that, sometimes.
There's also something just plain appealing about Fred kicking ass and taking names. Goes nicely with my theory that it's always the quiet ones.
Both Wesley and Gunn also win mega points with me here. I was genuinely surprised by what Gunn did, and that, my friends, is a good thing.
Cordelia/Connor is the squickiest thing that ever squicked. I'm sorry, but it's true.
Connor, in general, disappoints me this season. I felt for him in Season 3, and I liked him a lot in Season 5, but here, he's just a moody brat in need of a smacking.
At least he grows out of it, even if it does take a memory spell.
