Ah, yes. Now I remember why I tended to fail geography a lot, back in middle school. Consequently, I have a question for the Doctor Who fans among you (or just any of you who know where things are, in Britain.) Where, exactly, is Aberdeen located? How about Croydon? And how far away from each other are they, actually?

If there are multiple Croydons and Aberdeens, I may cry. And then proceed to pick the two located closest together.

Any info on either city would also be much appreciated. I don't need minute details, but something that helps me capture the flavor of the location would be nice.

Aberdeen is in Scotland, up on the north coast. Croydon is south of London.

Soo... that's pretty far, then? Surprised Sarah didn't give the Doctor a good smack upside the head for that one.

Well, as I remember in the episode, there was some verbal slappage going on.

Here's a good map (http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/europe/united_kingdom_rel87.jpg) to give you an idea of just how far it really is. I mean, it can be driven in a day? There's really not much in the UK that you can't reach in a day by car. But it's still a ways.
