I say 'dude' a lot. A whole lot. The etymological roots behind this remain a mystery, as I was neither raised in California (don't even know enough about California to say with absolute certainty that that's where the word stereotypically hails from), nor exposed to "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" at a particularly impressionable age.

Huh.

Now, wasn't this insightful? Don't you feel enriched for having read it?

Dude. I do too. Maybe it's a Mass thing? XD Or we all watched too much Ninja Turtles as kids.

Dude. Both could be possible. Though, does it count if you watched Ninja Turtles in Russian?

Well, I say it a lot too. And I'm not even from America.

I think I picked it up from Chesty who started saying it during the first RPG we were both in. She got it from someone on there I think.

Dudeitis. It's contagious.

Blame Chesty. Sounds like a good sollution to me. And now that I think about it, I did start using 'dude' more in the last two years or so.

Dude, I'm from California and I was exposed to Bill and Ted at a VERY impressionable age... Also TMNT 4 life.

I still say dude a lot, but new words have popped in too... It's weird the way that works. One of my new favorite words is kigass. I probably sound retarded saying it, but if you pair that word with dude, it is more accepted. Like "Dude, that's kigass!"

Hey, 'kigass' sounds no weirder than some of the stuff New Englanders apparently say. Mind, I've never even heard some of those words, let alone use them. I faaaail at NE slang, I do.

Also, is 'kigass' a slurring of 'kick ass'? If so, it makes perfect sense to me.
