Beta Readers needed
Nov. 3rd, 2006 10:24 pmSo, who's up for beta-ing Torchwood fic? It's not very long, het, unusual pairing, and ever so slightly fucked up.
lostfrontier, I know you beta-ed "In the Absence" - and did a fantastic job with it, but I didn't want to presume. Better to ask each time than assume someone's gonna edit anything you write, right?
I'd say I didn't know where I could have gotten the idea for a Jack/Suzie fic, but that's just not true. It started as a joke. Back when I still disliked Gwen, I flat-out stated that I'd rather see Jack with anyone other than her. Ianto, Owen, Toshiko. Hell, I'd pay to read about his and Suzie's doomed affair, cause dude...
That's when I paused, went 'hmmm...' and decided that doomed affair actually needed written. And so I did.
I'm fine with Gwen now (though admittedly still shaky on the idea of Jack/Gwen), but I enjoyed writing this fic nonetheless. Being in Suzie's head. Well. It was a trip.
Incidentally,
nevacaruso is currently writing this fic's companion/remix, only from Jack's point of view. This is what comes of long, fannish phone conversations.
And now, I'm starting to wonder what else will come out of that fannish phone conversation. At least if I wind up writing Jack/Rhys, you'll know why.
