The sci fi fan is me fears a little. On the other hand, depending on how traumatic the memory in question is, I can't bring myself to say it's a bad idea. Just as long as, you know, it's not used to erase relationships gone bad or somesuch. Otherwise, we get shades of "Eternal Sunshine."

The fact that, from what I can tell, the drug doesn't erase the memory, easing its effects instead, puts me quite a bit more at ease. And to be fair the 'it may be abused' argument can be applied to any science advancement, from the momentous to the microscopic.

ETA: Having watched all the clips, I now put myself quite firmly on the 'pro' side of the argument.
