Torchwood appears to have been renewed for another season. Hm. I'd be a lot more excited about it, had they announced this after "They Keep Killing Suzie" aired, instead of a week later, after frelling "Random Shoes."

For those wondering, yes, I'll probably keep watching, next year. The only surefire thing that would make me drop this show and not look back is if they make Gwen/Jack canon. Blargh. Besides that, I'll keep watching in the hopes of getting another "Ghost Machine" or "They Keep Killing Suzie." Hell, another "Small Worlds" or "Everything Changes" would do nicely as well.

I just saw the Torchwood page on Wikipedia mention it. They sited their source, but I haven't had the chance to read the original article yet.

Yeah, Alf was saying that today after he got to watch this episode. On rewatching, I didn't like it as much as I did the first time. Ah well.

I'm looking forward to the second season. In general, first seasons tend to be pretty hit and miss, no matter what. New characters, working out the dynamics. It's all a work in progress. Second seasons tend to be better as people get a handle on the characters.

On the other hand, I'm actually looking forward to the coming episodes. Next week's and the week after are supposed to be pretty good. Plus! Doctor Who Christmas Special coming up!

*nods* The first season of Buffy was pretty weak, in retrospect, but boy did season two get its ass in gear!

Next week's episode looks lovely, from the previews. If nothing else, it has real, honest-to-god use of sci-fi. And pretty fifties costumes! And (hopefully) good human drama. High hopes for that one. Actually, all the summaries for the upcoming episodes look really promising. If Torchwood suddenly becomes brilliant, you certainly won't catch me complaining.
