Around ten last night, I decided to start in on Babylon 5 season 4. I'll just watch a couple episodes, I thought.

'Couple of episodes' my pert, shapely ass. You'd think I'd have learned this lesson with season 3, but nooooooo.

All the way through "Into the Fire." Shadows and Vorlons have just been given da galactic boot. (Ok, so the Shadow conflict is over; the Narn-Centauri conflict is over. What comes next?)

Yeah -- B5 will do that to ya.

It lets up in Season 5, which is half good and half bad and somewhat random. But yeah. Did you know Stracyzinski wrote 3 and 4 straight through? I think maybe with 1 or 2 episodes written by someone else, but he holds the record for longest single block of television written by the same person.

Yup! He wrote all of 3 and 4, and all of 5 but one episode. (Hey, anyone can slip, I guess.) And that one episode was written by Neil Gaiman.

I'd be a little scared to find out how much coffee JMS drank in those five years.
