1. The first character I first fell in love with:
It's a toss-up between Juri and Utena herself.

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:
Anthy. The Anthy love didn't hit me till the last arc, but when it did? Whooo boy!

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't:
Good question. Touga's probably the one, because while I find him interesting, I certainly wouldn't give him the time of day if I knew him in real life.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates:
Ok, so I haven't actually met anyone who hated Kozue, but I've heard reports from other people. And I do love her, so yeah.

5. The character I used to love but don't any longer:
This is really a series where you fall more in love with the characters, not less.

6. The character I would shag anytime:
I hate to admit this, but Akio. Evil may not be my thing, but when you're that good at it? Yeah, it's hot. On the less horribly bad idea side of things, age Juri up a few years and we'll talk. (Ok, she'll talk and I'll drool. Same diff.)

7. The character I'd want to be like:
Utena herself. I've succeeded somewhat here, but I've still got ways and ways to go.

8. The character I'd slap:
Saionji. Less out of annoyance and more to knock some sense into him.

...He'd probably enjoy it, too.

9. A pairing that I love:
Utena/Anthy- it's not immediately obvious, but they truly stand on equal ground by the end of the series, something very, very rare in anime pairings.

10. A pairing that I despise:
Most pairings in this series can be made interesting if the writer is just that good. If the writer isn't...

Case in point - manga version Juri/Touga. Then again, manga Juri is effectively Nanami, with all the strength and interesting characterization removed.

11. Favorite character:
When all is said and done? Utena.

All Nine had to do was walk onto the screen and say some words. Why, yes, I am weak.

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:
Mickey. I was afraid he'd turn out to be a redshirt all through season one.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't:
Rose. I like her, but by the time season two was up, the love just wasn't there anymore.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates:
Do I even count the opinions of stupid fangirls as real opinion? *sigh* Ok, fine. Otherwise I wouldn't have anything to answer this question with and it'd be boring.

Reinette. Except the sane fen seem to like her fine.

5. The character I used to love but don't any longer:
Rose. Stupid season two. I really did use to love her, too.

6. The character I would shag anytime:
The Doctor himself (I'm partial to Nine). Jack. Martha. Ace. Sarah Jane (older version).

7. The character I'd want to be like:
Martha.

8. The character I'd slap:
None, really. The Doctor needs a verbal bitchsmack on occasion, but that's not the same thing, and Martha's more than capable of delivering it.

9. A pairing that I love:
Nine/Jack/Rose for the win! I also have a major soft spot for Doctor/Romana, whichever configuration.

10. A pairing that I despise:
Not terribly fond of Ten/Rose. And I admit, non-platonic Seven/Ace makes me boggle.

11. Favorite character:
Jack. Predictable? Yeah.

Suzie. Crazy, homicidal girl FTW!

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't:
I'm fond of Ianto but don't have the raging love the way a great deal of fandom does.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates:
None. Most everyone hates Gwen, but so do I, and while I like Owen and find him interesting, I don't love him.

5. The character I used to love but don't any longer:
None particularly.

6. The character I would shag anytime:
Jack. Cause dude.

7. The character I'd want to be like:
Jack, again. I loves me my fearless leaders.

8. The character I'd slap:
Gwen. Depending on the episode, replace 'slap' with 'run over with a semi'.

9. A pairing that I love:
Jack/Doctor (hey, Ten's hand is present. It so counts!)

10. A pairing that I despise:
Jack/Gwen. If this is ever made canon, I will stop watching.

11. Favorite character:
Jack, yet again. Who's surprised. Then again, he's the reason I'm watching at all.

Buffy herself. It was something about the later seasons.

I liked Angel much better on his own series.

Dude. I don't know who-all the fandom hates. As far as I can tell, Andrew's not mad popular, so I'll put him here.

Oh! I also liked Kennedy a great deal and thought she'd make a great character given more time. Think on it - how much screen time and characterization did Tara get in season four? And how awesome did she become later?

My interest in Spike comes and goes.

6. The character I would shag anytime:
Giles or Faith.

7. The character I'd want to be like:
Tara.

8. The character I'd slap:
Whoever most needed it at the time.

9. A pairing that I love:
Willow/Tara. Buffy/Faith has the chemistry and the potential.

10. A pairing that I despise:
None springs to mind. I'll probably come up with something if I think on it.

11. Favorite character:
By the end? Buffy.

Cordelia. I <3 snarky Cordy.

Angel. The fact that he developed a sense of humor and was surrounded by people who didn't let him take himself so seriously all the time really helped.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't:
I'm not thrilled with Cordelia's season three characterization. At all.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates:
I'm actually very fond of Fred.

5. The character I used to love but don't any longer:
None that I can think of.

6. The character I would shag anytime:
Season four Wesley. Faith. (She guest-starred. She counts.)

7. The character I'd want to be like:
Season one and two Cordelia.

8. The character I'd slap:
I've gotten that urge with Connor, on occasion.

9. A pairing that I love:
...Damn, Wesley pairs well with everyone. No. Really.

10. A pairing that I despise:
Connor/Cordelia. I'm not even sure why it squicks me. It just does, on so many levels.

Dunno.

Wash. The dinosaurs! The dinosaurs!

River. Watching the series while stoned on pain medication makes her POV make sooo much more sense.

None. This is the ensemble of love.

This is a pretty hate-free fandom, as far as I can tell.

Never happened.

Mal. Zoe (provided it's pre-Wash or threesomy. Cause you don't break up Wash and Zoe.)

Simon.

8. The character I'd slap:
Jayne. See my note on Saionji.

Wash/Zoe! And I very rarely get that excited about a het pairing. Go Joss!

Eh. None.

All right, who are all these people who hate Reinette? I thought she was awesome! She was not a Mary Sue.

The closest they came to a REAL Mary Sue was Adam, and he got his comeuppance.
