I help out for a long time. Truly, it was a valiant effort. But even I know when I've been defeated. BPAL, it seems, now has a new victim in its clutches. I'll be putting in an imp set order when I have money.

These are the scents I'm thinking of getting on my first go )

...Why yes, that is, indeed, a lot of roses. Thoughts on any of these? Yea or nay? And if you have any other recommendations, step right up! Bear in mind, though, that I unfortunately lack the time and energy to hunt down rare scents - and by rare, I mean those unavailable from BPAL directly.

Meanwhile, have a review of a scent I've already tried.

BPAL Review - New Orleans

New Orleans
Reminiscent of hothouse blooms on a humid night, ripe, but touched with decay. Sweet honeysuckle and jasmine with a hint of lemon and spice.

In bottle - a bit stronger than I care for.

On me (wet) - a sharp, soapy bitter-floral smell that made me gag a bit. According to Mom, it smells like men's collogne.

On me (dry) - the smell has mellowed and sweetened a bit - ah, there's that lemon! - but is overall still too soapy.

Verdict - pass! I wish I knew which note is the one bugging me: honeysuckle or jasmine, so that I'd know which to avoid in the future and which to give another chance. Heavens help me if it's both or a combination of the two.
