- Dude, Alejandro. Trying to break into a car in broad daylight with people around - including the police? Looks like you're the proud bearer of the idiot stick this episode. Don't feel bad; Claire had it last episode and I still love her.

...What is it with this season and car-related stupidity?

- Nikki and co. are back! I was wondering about them. ...I guess that answers the question of whether D.L.'s alive. Too bad, I liked the guy.

- Sylar in a Hawaiian shirt! *ded*

Oh, come on. Last time we saw him, there was roach symbolism. No way in hell he was going to turn out dead.

- Still can't stand West's guts. Maybe Sylar will get peckish soon, though I can't see that brain being too appetizing.

- Matt and Mohinder are such an old married couple this season. They even have a kid. It's adorable!

- Aww, Ando~

- Ok, the Irish girl - Caitlin? - I like her.

- Claire seems to be feeling a bit more charitable toward West. I'm not. Please, don't let my favorite character fall for this bozo.

Oh, I'll give him his credit if he's redeemed as a character and human being, but it hasn't happened yet.

- Oh, Mohinder. It sounds like you're soon to be in deep shit.

- Duuude, I don't know if Maya's tactic is stupid or brilliant, but I don't care. I'm just happy she's thinking and being proactive.

If she wanted her powers triggered or has something in mind I haven't thought of - brilliant.

Otherwise - stupid.

And it turns out to be neither. Just desperation, mixed with a touch of ruthlessness. I'm not sure what I think of the way she places being with her brother over innocent lives, but whatever I may think of her as a person, she's growing a bit as a character.

- For some reason, I rather like Random Jail Guy. I'm glad he's coming along.

- So Peter has a hidden sadistic streak. Most interesting~

- Is it just me, or did Kensei's turnabout seem a bit...abrupt. Lily is suspicious.

- *ded some more* Someone on the writing team ships Sylar/Sylar. This makes me sporfle. ...It's oddly hot, now that I think about it.

- Well, my instinct is to simply distrust anything West says, but he does have the marks... It'll be awful interesting to see what Noah has been up to. ETA: ...And then I realize West would have been tagged before Bennet left the Company. Dur. My brain is mush. Still, it does kind of bring him into perspective for Claire.

- Oh, shiiit. That prophecy doesn't look good.

Okay, the way I saw the Maya freakout in the jail was so:

1. She has zero actual control over her powers. Once they're active they affect everyone in a certain radius regardless of their intentions towards her. I'd make an X-Men comparison but I'll keep the geeking to a single fandom.

2. She knows that to activate her powers she has to be in danger and that they activate whenever she perceives herself to be in danger. Alejandro is all that keeps this in check.

So the choice was keep running but risk killing LOTS of people whenever she was in danger or thought she was in danger (which is a surety when illegally crossing the border) or get herself worked up enough to activate her powers so she could get to Alejandro. Her insistence makes sense to me, even if I wish they'd get across the damn border already and get a more concrete storyline.

That's basically what I saw, too, though she doesn't strike me as the type to have thought it out in that level of detail. I'm just happy she acted, period.

Agreed on them needing to cross the border already.

I really want to like them. And I think they're a key to this season's Big Bad, cause that psychic woman said they had the power to kill the devil and Molly's been all "eee, creepy boogey man devil guy!" But they need to get a story. Once they get to the US and someone from the Company finds them they might get a little less tedious.

I haven't gotten into slash for the series, up until now. Now I'm kind of liking the Matt/Mohinder thing. ^_____^

I was less of a fan of this episode than any other I have seen. I am getting worried the plot is untangling itself in a bad way. After watching it, my only thought was "...meh..."

So I hope for better in future episodes, and yeah, I really am not a fan of Maya and her brother AT all.

Yeeeah, this season so far isn't nearly as good as the first. It doesn't totally suck ass, though, so I keep hoping it'll get better. And there are definitely enough bits to keep me interested. Just...sad. But there's a lot they can do with Legacy the Virus, and with the now-powerless Sylar. Conflict is the key, and now would be a good time to set it rolling.

Mostly, I'm just bored off my ass whenever the twins are onscreen. The writers are kind of failing the 'why should we care?' question with them.

Yea, I feel like this is such a transitory season - like they aretrying to throw in a lot of new twists that will hopefully come together, but they are all so disjointed and a little underdramatic, I am having a hard time caring about ANY of the character struggles. Seriously, Hiro in the 1600s and the Mohinder, Matt and girl subplots are the MOST interesting, and I would watch JUST for that.

I am hating the whole Maya thing a lot.

Yep, I'm basically watching for the exact same plotlines as you. Though if they came back to Nathan and Angela, I wouldn't be upset.

...Randomly, I just realized they have a shitelot of characters whose names start with M. Mohinder. Matt. Molly. Micah. Maya. Possibly others.
