mllelaurelCatherynne M. Valente's Orphan's Tales: In the Night Garden. This book is amazing, people. Read it! I could rave for hours about the way Valente deconstructs fairy tale archetypes, but that would ignore the way this book weaves an intricate web of story, filled with unique characters the reader comes to really care about. I'm not even done reading it, but I'm already impressed enough to rec.
