I'm so glad I don't keep this journal to impress people with my suaveness, intelligence, and capability. If I did, it would be deemed a miserable, sorry failure. So, you want to hear about my latest exploits? You know you wanna...

Today, I managed to lock myself out of the house. I went for a jog, bringing along a water bottle, a CD player, extra batteries, doggie treats for the neighborhood dogs, and no keys. The CD ran its course, and i finished my jog. I went to open the door, and found it locked. Insert ten to fifteen minutes of spazz here.

You see, the situation was exacerbated by the fact that neither of my parents was going to be home tonight. If I didn't find a way to get in, I was looking forward to a night of sleeping in the park. (Yes, I realize now that I could have gone to a friend's house, or something. See previous note about spazz.)

Once the spazz passed, a strange calm settled over me. I was going to be alright. Today, I found out firsthand just how easy it is to break into my house. ...Which, really, isn't such a good thing, is it?

So now I'm back in. Hey, I may be a dork, but at least I'm a resourceful dork!

Oh dude, I so totally have done that. Not the breaking in part, because that would take a level of resourcefulness I don't think I could manage, but I used to lock myself out of my parents house all the time. XD;;;

I'm really surprised that this was the first time it ever hapenned. Although I did once get locked inside my school, overnight. (That was actually kind of fun...)

How in the world did you manage to get back in? And dude, that sucks. I've been in that position before (though minus the doggy treats) and it's no fun at all. Of course that usually ends with me either calling the landlords or forking out 25 bucks for the locksmith. >_

Oh, trust me, when I say that breaking into my house is ridiculously easy, I mean it's ridiculously easy. Think windows with wire screens. Located next to the door. (Should I be sharing this info? Oh, well, I trust you.)

And I thought about contacting someone, but I was trapped outside with no money, and no ID, so I wouldn't have been able to prove that I actually lived there. Probably would have led to my geting arrested, or something.
