Intercon I

captainecchi:
Across the Sea of Stars - Looks really neat, but I'm not sure I'm willing to fork over two game slots to a single game. I'm kind of hoping they run this game sometime as a standalone, outside of a con.
ADGNEPSEF-555: Groundhog Recess - Meh. Doesn't sound like my sort of thing.
All's Well That Ends - Looks amazing. Problem is, there's no way I can costume for this game with any sense of competency. Best I'd hope for is stuffing a borrowed hoop under a long skirt and hoping it fits.
Bruno the Bandit - No interest in the webcomic it's based on; no interest in the game.
Casino Xeno - Not my thing.
Con Suite - Much as I'd like to help out, I'm at this con to play.
Diamond Geezers - Not my thing.
Elanthia Fantasy Masquerade Ball - I like all the elements, but the whole sounds a wee bit generic to me.
GM Space - I know and like the GMs, so you never know, even if I'm really not a Lovecraft person. Besides, it's funny!Lovecraft. So maybe.
In Ogg No One Can Hear You Scream (Technically, that's a lie) - Doesn't strike my fancy.
Intergalactic Criminal Police Organization Annual Convention - Eh. Maybe. If there's nothing else interesting in that slot.
Iron GM Game - There are likely to be too many other games I'd like to play in. Anyone have good stories from previous renditions?
It Was Space But They Heard Her Scream - ...Wait, are those the folks who wrote Mary Celeste? Cooool. We'll see what it's running up against.
Jamais Vu - TMA was awesome. Can other amnesia games live up to the expectation?
League of Extraordinary Hogwarts Students - Looks excellent! Still hoping it runs prior to the con.
Marlowe 2020: Renegade Edition - Mixed feelings. People I've talked to either had an amazing time with this game or a godawful one. Thoughts?
Ops - See Con Suite.
Prawn 4: Heroes of the Sea - Meh.
Presque Vu - See Jamais Vu. If anyone wants to chime in yea or nay regarding these two, I welcome it.
Shadow Over Babylon - On one hand, awesome GMs. On the other hand, Lovecraft. Sigh.
Sith Lords: The Dark Side - I'm a very casual Star Wars fan at best, and the concept sounds like it could easily collapse into utter disaster.
Standoff - Not my cuppa.
Starship Edsel - Sounds entertaining, but it'll probably be up against games I'm more interested in.
Story Wars: Episode Six: Return of the Princess Bride - Mwahah. Sounds like a blast!
Super-Villain Academy - Eh. Not my cuppa. Too many villains spoil the soup.
That Space Game - GM indulges in way to much apologia. This makes me squeamish.
The Galactic Emperor Is Dead - I like Mike Young, but 'play all weekend' - while trying to focus on other games - ain't my thing.
The Madrian Secret - Looks very interesting. I've never had the DeSmets as GMs, but I've found them to be very conscientious and entertaining players. This one goes high on my list.
The Other Other* All-Batman Game - Sounds like the kind of wacky comedy requiring way more energy than I ever possess.
Time Travel Review Board - Let's go ahead and call this a given. AE's done some of the only comedy/horde games I've enjoyed - and this is not a backhanded compliment, as I enjoyed them a great deal. Besides, if I'm not mistaken, this game is a spiritual sequel to City Council of Hounds' Teeth, which I played in and had a blast.
Tithing Times - One of the games that made me the saddest at missing MidAtlantic. I'm glad to get another crack at it. Another almost-certain.
Tonight at Eight - Big Misunderstanding the LARP? I'll pass.
If anyone has stories or thoughts about any of these games, I'd love to hear them.
