Let's start this post by saying I had a fantastic time this weekend. Here's what I did:

Friday night: An Evening With Clarence
I played Trilby, a brainwashed singer attached to Svengali. As mentioned on her sheet, how much fun Trilby's player has is directly proportional to how good her Svengali is. I had the amazing [livejournal.com profile] oakenguy, so I was all set! We plotted and schemed, and I got to sing a song about my woes. And then, I roped Svengali into marrying me for real, which made Henrietta happy - happy enough to give us special abilities. Huzzah! My ability meant I could hypnotize people by singing at them, which allowed me to return some of Carrie Nation's ([livejournal.com profile] wired_lizard) brain capability to her, after she was lobotomized. And then we took her along with us. In our AIRSHIP!

It's also worth mentioning that the Potted Palm totally owned that game.

...Err, needless to say, this game was a blast and a half. Thank you so much to all the GMs - real and character.

Saturday morning: Fire on High - some SPOILERS
I played "Malek Abdulah," one of the ship's passengers - also known as Duha Baha, the heir to Valdez. Sadly, this character was a bit underplotted, as her main connection was to her love interest, and he was frequently busy with things she was simply unable to help him with, lacking any tech ability whatsoever. This got ameliorated by my getting pulled into Horde, despite not technically being a Horde player. That was fun. I got to lead a rebellion, among other things.

Overall a fun game, though a couple of characters could stand to be beefed up, mine included.

Saturday afternoon: The Last Voyage of Mary Celeste - MAJOR SPOILERS
I played Sarah Briggs, the Captain's wife, which was a fantastic role for me. I spent most of the game running around, getting carpetbombed with revelation after revelation and trying not to have a nervous breakdown. I also had some seriously awesome fellow players, with a special mention to [livejournal.com profile] nevacaruso, who played my daughter.

And then, Gillings stabbed me. Bloody Gillings. :) After that, I hung out with [livejournal.com profile] zrealm and was eventually recruited into his elf posse, when he came on as Thantor.

I had such a blast with this game, I'm hardly going to hold the streak of bad luck that led to my demise against it. This one totally lived up to its reputation.

After that, a bunch of us took some time off for lunch/dinner/thing, which I badly needed at this point, if I were to have enough energy to help run Lifeline.

Saturday night part 1: Lifeline (GM)
From where I'm standing (or tripping haplessly over the rope, as the case may be), this was a freakin' awesome run. Much of the thanks is owed to our players, who were awesome. Our Sluggy, in particular, managed to break. My. Heart. In a good way.

I think I was with-it enough as a GM, though I know I could have done better, and the reason I wasn't is because my brain was already starting to get into character for my next game...

Saturday night part 2: Shebopaleileigh
I played Celeste Alba, who has a very interesting headspace. This was one of those cases of 'Lily's not in right now. Leave a message at the beep.' The character just completely took over, which is both rare and wonderful. Playing closely with [livejournal.com profile] emp42ress and [livejournal.com profile] bleemoo also didn't hurt.

I do add my appology to [livejournal.com profile] emp42ress's however, for derailing half the game into the bathroom.

The next morning, I woke up with a migraine, which started out manageable but grew like that plant in Little Shop of Horrors. Dun dun dun.

Sunday morning part 1: Unconventional Odyssey - SPOILERS
I played Pat, one of the car people (i.e. cast) and man, did this game ever break Pat. :) By the end I was like, zombies? Bring 'em! Aliens who want to probe me? I love me some aliens! Heee hee ha hee twitch hee. Having my ear nommed by a canibal earlier on might have had something to do with it. A very frenetic game and a great time.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] electric_d_monk makes a disturbingly good truckstop hooker. That's all I'm sayin'

Sunday morning part 2: GM Space
This was the point where my migraine caught up with me, for which I appologize profusely to [livejournal.com profile] kamianya and Jared, the (OOC) GMs. I was cast as a LARPer playing Dr. Halle Morgan, a psychologist trying to keep [livejournal.com profile] electric_d_monk's character from summoning Cthulu. Unfortunately, I was so blargh, I played Dr. Morgan's player as a bleary, hung-over individual who hadn't read her character sheet. I suppose that counts as a GM nightmare, albeit a subdued one. I spent some time annoying Colin the GM, and then I had to take a time-out for water, air and Ibuprofen, as my head was fast acquiring its own percussion section. I did come back for the ending, though.

...And then, there was dead dog. ...And then, I had to go write a paper. The end! Wasn't that a nice story?

You did an awesome job in the awesome Mary Celeste, and I loved playing with you. And yay for awesome run of Lifeline. *high fives* Sorry that the blargh took you out of commission for part of Sunday, though. :(

It had to catch up with me sometime, I suppose.

Dude! Lifeline was fucking fantastic. Count me as P&C's newest fan. Not that I didn't love you guys before, but now I am in awe of you. ;)

And I really feel bad about Fire on High. At some point we should talk more in depth about it.
