To any of you guys who've seen Battle Royale: Where did you find the movie? I've been thoroughly unable to locate a copy so far, and I've looked at both my local library chains, the video store, and several websites. All I've found was the manga (they didn't have the novel, either), and a few region 2 or 3 DVDs, which my player wouldn't be able to handle. Any help is much appreciated!

I picked up a copy fairly cheaply at eBay. You could try checking there. Good luck!

*smacks forehead* Duh! I should have thought of that! Now all I have to do is wait for my student credit card to get approved.

Have you tried amazon? I think I saw it there, at some point... It's not been released in the US, as far as I know, so you probably need to be looking for the Hong Kong release...

Yep, I checked Amazon. It said, and I quote: "Availability: NOT YET RELEASED: The studio is currently not producing this title on DVD", which I take to mean that they may have it anytime between now, and ten years later. I could try the Japanese (or Hong Kong) versions of Amazon, but my browser doesn't pick up those languages, and even if it did, I wouldn't be albe to read them.

You can try eBay...^^ Or YesAsia.com, those are good and cheap places to get the DVD or VCD.^^

Good plan, that. Definitely a good plan. Stupid question, though: What's the difference between DVD and VCD?

DVD has higher quality pictures and sound, extra stuff, subtitle/sound option, and all that other good stuff DVDs give you. VCD is just kinda choppy...but it's much cheaper. It would span two discs, though.

Hmmm... Considering my patience levels, I should probably go for the DVD version, then. Hopefully, I can cut the price a bit, by buying it on E-Bay. Now, if my student credit card would hurry up and get approved/sent...

Yeah, definately get the DVD version. I made the mistake of not waiting and now I have this really choppy version on my hands. It's not BAD, just that it could have been better.
