1. Who is your favorite Death Note character(s)?
L, Mello, Naomi
2. What is your favorite pairing(s)?
Mello/Near is a wonderful twisted mess. There's a lot of tragic unrealized potential in L/Naomi. I can't quite say I like L/Light, but I can't look away, either.
3. Are you a Death Note yaoi or hentai fan?
If it's good, I'll read it. Defining yourself as a reader entirely by the gender of characters involved or whether there's smut is silly.
4. Ever cosplayed Death Note characters? If so, who, where and how many times?
Not much of a cosplayer, but I'd dig costuming some of them for a LARP.
5. List your collection of Death Note junk and merchandise, if any:
Purchased copies of manga volume 1 and How to Read, plus the entire anime series downloaded.
6. Have you ever felt that you were destined to be with a Death Note character?
That's... really creepy. Do some fans really need that much of a reality check. ...Actually, I don't want to know the answer to that question.
7. Near/Matt or Mello/Near?
I've already mentioned Mello/Near above. As for Near/Matt, I wasn't aware such a beast existed. They don't interact in the series, though as with any pairing, a good, well-characterized fic could make a case for it.
8. Light/Misa or L/Misa?
L/Misa. Cause nobody deserves to be stuck with Light, even if they're as fucked up as Misa-Misa.
9. Did you think Matt's death was fair?
'Fair' is an irrelevant concept in this series. If you mean 'appropriate to the narrative,' then the answer is yes.
10. Why did you think Mello helped Near in the end?
Hoogod. Because that was the best way to catch Kira. Because Near would have died if he hadn't (though he'd literally rather die himself than admit this.) Because he had, to quotenevacaruso "a death wish the size of Asia."
11. Do you support Kira's theory in making the world better by using the Death Note and killing off the bad people?
Totally! Fascist states are the new Macarena! [/sarcasm] Really, really not. For starters, how do you begin to define 'bad people' and where do you stop? No one person has the right to make that sort of decision.
12. Your favorite Wammy kid?
With this lot, playing favorites causes problems :). I've mentioned in the past and will mention again the extent to which Mello managed to move in to my head, from the start, though.
13. Are you Pro-Kira or Anti-Kira?
Entirely Anti.
14. Have you seen all Death Note episodes so far?
Yes.
15. Have you read all the chapters so far?
I'm on volume seven now. It's more dense and thus slower going than a lot of manga. Plus factor in library request delivery times and/or availability.
16. Do you believe Misa has ADD?
...If she does, it's the least of her problems. Hystrionic Personality Disorder is more like it.
17. Sub or dub?
With a very few exceptions, American dubs suck ass. And this is neither Bebop nor Hellsing. And even if the dub was actually quite good (which I've heard it's not), I somehow doubt it would hold up to the superbly-acted original.
18. Pro-Misa or Anti-Misa?
She can be annoying and she's certainly fucked in the head, but 'pro-character vs. anti-character' debates tend to squick me. She's interesting and effective for her role in the story, for all that I wouldn't want to meet her in real life.
19. Lidner = Near's side or Mello's?
Working as a go-between for the two of them. Which sort of requires neutrality.
20. Do you even know who BB is?
Yep, I read Another Note. Don't really get the popularity.
21. L = Sexy beast or Ugly nerd?
Sexy precisely because he's a nerd and not physically attractive. Kind of like Christopher Eccleston. Only less of a flake.
22. Which character would be the best cross dresser?
Put Near in a dress and nothing would change. Hell, he might not even notice you've done it, but he'd certainly pass as a girl. Put Mello in a dress and he'd really look like a girl - right up until the point he shot you and cussed you out in a baritone voice - in that order.
23. Mikami = Weird or Awesome?
A good person who got a shitty lot in life and went sour. Tragic and affecting, but I don't know if I'd go as far as 'awesome.'
24. Which character would be the best OOC?
Huh? OOC is generally a bad thing. The end.

I approach with caution. Extreme caution. However, if I find the good stuff, I cherish it like pie.

Not really, though I occasionally get struck with an idea.

Provided it's well-written and IC. IC being the key point.

Not really. Though reading a series with immensely intelligent characters just drives it home some more how unintelligent most of my fellow students at Lesley are. I've ranted about this already and I won't again.

No, I'm broke because I have no job.

Fuck no. Anybody owning one of those is bound to end badly, and anyone who says they would never be tempted to use it is trying to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge.

Not at all. I think it ended exactly as it should have; the end it's been building up to right from the beginning.

You do not want to see me draw. It's not pretty.

I think so. Way too young for me to ever consider him 'my type,' but striking to look at, certainly. I seriously want his pants, though. Not that there are many places I could wear them, but them's some sexy pants.
