Argh!

Ever since I reset the clock on my computer to the correct date, all my logins have been borked! I can log in to, say LJ or Dreamwidth, but it won't take the 'remember me' option. And some applications, like Journey, won't let me log in at all. I think it may be cookie-related, but I'm a tech dunce.

Have you cleaned out your cookies? The change of date might be causing the cookies and their respective websites to be having some failures in communication; if you clean it out, the sites will give you all new cookies with no date foo. At least that is my half-baked guess.

Yeah, what she said. The only thing I know of that could get Journey to stop letting you log in is a malformed cookie.

One way to test this, if you're worried about side effects, would be to try using a different web browser temporarily and see if that lets you log into things.

Effects were exactly the same on both Safari and Firefox, alas.

Extremely stupid question, but how does one clean out cookies, again?

I have heard of this bug before! And, yeah, resetting the clock, for some bizarre reason, sometimes causes your cookies to corrupt. You may indeed need to just erase everything and redo it, which is a pain in the butt but there you go. Computers, eh?

Hmm! Are you having to repeatedly reset your clock? I've noticed that your most recent posts are dated december 2010, instead of january.
