Racket and Hullabaloo
Oct. 19th, 2003 02:41 pmI think my cat went insane last night. She was sleeping peacefully, then all of a sudden, at four in the morning, she woke up, and started tearing around the appartment, meowling to be let out. Mreh. We really have to housetrain her, one of these days. She kind of came with the house, and I guess her old owners trained her to be an outside cat. Then they moved and left her behind. Bastards. It's a good thing she's so adorable, so that the neighbors loved and fed her until we moved in.
In other news, the lab report is moving damnably slow, and I've discovered that I have to do not one, but five to ten college essays, due to length restrictions and specified questions. And it's still cold. There are, obviously, better reasons for hating your life out there, but mine seem quite suffiient right about now.

Date: 2003-10-19 12:14 pm (UTC)I feel your pain on the reports. I have three historiographic essays due for one class, a paper and a teaching assignment due for another, and then still, another paper for the last class. Times like this I try and ask myself why I thought getting an MA in history was a good idea.
It's started getting colder here, too. The weather strangely enough drops about 30 degrees at night and then climbs again in the morning. Which means we're freezing at night and just mildly uncomfortable during the day. >.> I wish it would pick -- this is October. I'd like for a little cold. (Of course, we've been enduring spates of 95 degrees down here for the last couple of months.)
Poor kitty! What's her name? We have two cats here -- Hisoka and Kisa. Both females and I'm convinced that there is something to names because Hisoka is very ... um... grumpy. Actually she can a total bitch kitty on occasion. ^^;; Probably the best thing to do about training her to stay in is either let her stay in the room with you or simply just don't let her out. It's hard and she will cry but after a night of this, they generally stop. >.> We've had to do something similar with Hisoka although in her case, she used to want to sit by the door and shoot through it whenever people came in. *winks* We got very good at huddling down in football position and catching her before she got very far.
Good luck on those papers though. *hugs*

Date: 2003-10-19 05:02 pm (UTC)My kitty doesn't really have a name yet, so she goes by, alternately, Monkey, and La Marquisse. Mom is responsible for the first nickname, Dad for the second. I'm trying to decide on a more permanent name for her.
And you have two kitties - that rocks! What can I say, you name your cat, you get the personality that goes with the name. Plus, come on, you have a Hisoka-personality kitty: that's adorable! *Cuddles bitchy kitty* How do you come up with their names, anyway?
*Looks over all the typing* We should probably continue this in e-mail - that would make more sense. What do you say?
