It's too early in the semester to have pulled my first all-nighter. On the plus side, my paper for Inside the Writing Life is done, I'm caught up on journal entries for same, and I devoted as much time to my Genetics homework as it actually required. Which is to say that I'm pretty sure I got everything on the first problem sheet wrong, but only 25% on the second. It's a step up, and hey, I'm in a class full of post-Bacs.

If I go into either of those classes today and find out that I'm missing anything, I will throw a tantrum impressive enough to make five year olds stop and pay attention. I will *not* have anything ruin my feeling of accomplishment!

And as soon as 3:30 rolls around, sleeeeep. Or shower first. Either order, but sleep and shower. God, those are luxuries.

And you were so right. The reading room in Dickinson is love!

It is, isn't it? Less noisy than the houses but less trafficked than the library. Open all night (unless one falls asleep on the ubercomfy couch and is chased out by Security). Within reach of snack machines and pacing space. And there are fishies! (There is also, of course, the computer that eats any papers that aren't saved in a specific place before one turns off/restrarts the machine, but the perks of doing one's work there far outweigh the drawbacks.)

But hey, on the plus side Becky liked my paper.

Congrats! I'm working on mine as we speak. Someday I am going to be able to write something that doesn't lean on blatant fairy-tale themes, snarkery about children's fantasy, or mad things that my sisters have said. But... [aragornvoice]today is not that day.[/aragornvoice]
