Computer Update: Take 2

mllelaurelPiece of Shit officially deserves its name. It won't acknowledge that I have a keyboard, won't instal Windows XP (Much less the update package I need in order to log on to the campus network), and it's godawful slow booting up, even though I spent all day and all night defragging the bloody thing!
As for the laptop, Dell is sending someone over (and by 'over', I mean 'to Mom's workplace, in Boston') to look at it, and, in all likelyhood, replace the motherboard (I won't even pretend that I know what the fuck a motherboard is, but it sounds important). That will take at least a week, and, with my luck, something else is bound to go wrong by that point.
In addition, I've discovered that, not only will the school computers not let me install AIM, but they won't even let me run AIM Express, thanks to their bloody popup blocker.
I give the fuck up.
